Composition / Administration
At the beginning of 2026, the Committee comprised more than 580 members, representing Government Administration, National Companies, Public Establishments, Local Authorities, Companies, Engineering Firms and individual members, all appointed on the basis of their expertise in dam engineering.
The association’s statutes were amended on November 27, 2019.
The Committee is administered by an Executive Commission of 28 members, elected for 3-year terms. The commission is renewed by one third each year at the Annual General Meeting. The Executive Commission elects each year a Bureau consisting of a President, three Vice-Presidents, a Secretary General and a Secretary-Treasurer.
The composition of the CFBR Bureau in 2026 is as follows:

The Committee’s resources consist of membership fees, annual grants received from its members and income from the organisation of conferences. EDF provides the Committee with a secretariat located at the EDF Hydraulic Engineering Centre.
